habit

Each time we go to London, we're creatures of habit: breakfast at Paul, visit one of the city’s many markets and museums, and walk though the streets of Notting Hill. And, at least for me, I love to pretend that I’m living in one of the world’s most expensive city.

Although this past weekend was devoted to hanging out with a friend, who was visiting London for the first time, it was no different. It was croissants aux amandes et lattes pour nous while fantasizing about living in the Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.

We meandered through the crowds at Camden and Portobello Markets.

We stopped off at my favourite museum but, due to the number of rodents burrowed under a exhibit, the museum has now been demoted down a few rankings on my personal scale.

We did, however, do some new things. We ran in Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens with many other runners on Saturday morning -- our half marathon is coming up very soon! -- and we walked through pretty Holland Park. And, on our final night, we watched the West End production of the Sound of Music.
