With October silently appearing out of nowhere, autumn is in full swing. My wool coat is adorned. My handmade knitted fingerless mitts are permanently affixed on my hands. I have started knitted projects. The sun is deceivingly out but there's an evil chill alongside. The days are noticeably shorter. We're resisting the urge to turn on the heat but we know it's a losing battle.
However, with every drawbacks there are bright moments during this season. The changing leaf colours and the crunchy leaves beneath my feet. My favourite fall produce are readily available on the supermarket shelves. Here's to apple-based desserts, soups composed of gourds, and Thanksgiving dinner next week.
