olympics

Every two years, I seem to drop everything and become glued to the coverage of the Olympics.

Because I'm in not in my home country for this particular Game, I'm getting used to the televised focus on the British athletes. And without the abundant number of channels to surf, it's surprising that my attention can be easily swayed by the less-than-thrilling sports (i.e. dressage of the equestrian events).

The determination of the athletes to compete and complete events is absolutely amazing. Of course, it's not to the same calibre, I liken it to the completion of my first half marathon next month. I recently suffered an ankle sprain but -- me being me -- is having a hard time letting the injury properly heal.
