The mail system here is incredibly efficient here.
My letters and parcels are deposited and received half-way across the world in 3 business days -- amazing. We get delivery on Saturdays and mail pick-ups in the traditional red letter boxes occur even on Sundays. However, there are current disputes going on, which means a birthday present for my favourite 4-year old still remains, untouched, in the post office and a much anticipated parcel for myself is missing-in-action.
While not as persistant as the postal workers here, I staged a mini strike from writing on this blog but eventually decided that I do enjoy writing about nothing here and that someone out there must enjoy reading these rambles.

Rest assured, there are people out there that indeed enjoy reading your "rambles". We always look forward to your colourful commentaries and oberservations on everyday life in the UK. - Jon
As a Canadian in the midst of planning a move to the UK next summer, I am finding your blog very intersting and informative. Please keep it going.
Thank you for stopping by and for your comment, anonymous. I hope your relocation goes smoothly.
