I'm currently pursuing my new career as a technical writer as I'm constantly revising research proposals, grant applications, interview scripts, and journal articles. It's no wonder I can't keep up with my email writing but that doesn't get you off the hook as I still love receiving them ;)

I'm still entertained with how the Brits say certain things. My current pet peeve is straight away, in that "I'll get that you to straight away".

Yesterday, my officemate at the uni (another British abbreviated word) was frantically looking for his building access card and was wondering if I had seen it. I hadn't but suggested he should check his pants - oops! (pants = underwear in the UK) I knew this but it didn't stop me from saying it out loud.
