i'm learning

I heart black and white shots. When done properly, I think the image portrayed in the photo can be stipped down to its purest form. All nooks and crannies, and blemishes are there for the world to see.


It's too bad that the photos taken from my new -- yet old* -- manual camera never turn out the way I want them to. The excitement of dropping a roll of film off for developing and seeing how the photos turned out is immediately ceased when photo after photo is a blur; disappointing, I know.

On the plus side, I'm still having fun learning but, unfortunately, film and processing is so darn pricey! It's making me contemplate getting a digital; however, only slightly.

*The camera is over 30 years old!

I think your photos always look amazing. I'm in awe everytime I look at (or used to look at) your albums and scrapbooks. You have an eye for photography that I envy!
