Yesterday was a night of ever-ready meals from Marks and Spencer and glasses of wine (Boy, can I ever talk about anything after a glass of wine or two. I believe I discussed my new quest of being a contestant on the UK’s version of Deal or No Deal and processed with theorizing people’s risk preferences on the game show). We watched Da Vinci Code and had fun recognizing views of Lincoln Cathedral (of course, it wasn’t supposed to be Lincoln Cathedral in the film but rather posing as Westminster Abbey).
A slow morning today but after donning green (it’s St. Patrick’s Day afterall!), we headed for nearby shopping mecca, Nottingham, for sushi at Skinny Sumo. Our lunch of chicken teriyaki, chicken donburi, and a small selection of maki wasn’t not too bad and (not) surprisingly expensive. We did some browsing in some of the shops (as that’s what British people seem to do on Saturdays) before heading home to prepare bangers and mash for dinner (without mushy peas, of course!).
